Medicare Integrity ProgramThe Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (also known as the Kassebaum-Kennedy legislation) includes a provision establishing the "Medicare Integrity Program." That provision gives the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) specific contracting authority, consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulations, to enter into contracts with entities to promote the integrity of the Medicare program. Pursuant to that MIP authority, CMS awarded twelve Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the Program Safeguard contractor (PSC) effort in May 1999. Information on the PSC awardees and the IDIQ task orders is available. In addition, CMS awarded the Coordination of Benefits (COB) contract to GHI Medicare in November 1999. CMS also made multiple awards of an IDIQ contractor to Medicare Managed Care (MMC) Program Integrity Contractors When MIP procurements become available to the general public, we will post them at https://cms.hhs.gov/goodbye.asp?URL=https://www.FEDBIZOPS.GOV. In the meantime, we encourage you to submit information for the MIP Bidder's List. Your inclusion on the MIP Bidders List means that you will receive information concerning future solicitations for services, Pre-Solicitation Conferences, etc. It will also allow you and other companies to contact each other for potential bidding purposes. All we need is some basic information and we will include you on the list that appears at this website. Please be advised that not seeing your name on the MIP Bidders List does not mean that we did not receive your information. It simply means that we have not updated our web site. The Official MIP Bidders List is maintained by the CMS Acquisition and Grants Group. Any questions about the list should be directed to Leisa Bodway, Contracting Officer, 410-786-1278. You can add your name to the "MIP Bidders List". To view the list, see the MIP Bidder's List link below. Caution: CMS will use its best efforts to notify everyone on the MIP Bidder's List when we issue solicitations. However, we cannot guarantee that we will notify everyone. Inclusion on the MIP Bidder's List does not relieve a Contractor of its responsibility to review the Federal Business Opportunities website in order to formally request solicitations and receive them timely for proposal submissions.
