The National Cybersecurity Alliance plans to help the Department of Homeland Security promote cybersecurity awareness to American citizens. DHS's National Cybersecurity Division is developing programs aimed at home owners and small- and midsize businesses as well as students and teachers to promote safe and secure use of the Internet as well as protecting themselves and their cyber infrastructure from those who would do them harm. the National Cybersecurity Alliance - a tax-exempt consortium of technology vendors that has collaborated with DHS and other not-for-profit organization to promote cybersecurity awareness and education - will be the sole source of supplies and services. No other bids are being sought under provisions federal acquisition regulations.The contract would be for six months, with two possible one-month renewals. The cost of the services are to be negotiated.
