02/22/10 GAO Reports On Changes Facing NASA

A Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports that NASA will be making many changes in its agency during the next couple of years. According to the GAO, the agency is retiring the space shuttle and taking its manned missions in a new direction. NASA is also struggling with the fact that the International Space Station is almost complete -- but grossly underutilized. GAO recently looked at what NASA is facing, and has issued a number of recommendations.
