As cybersecurity grows in importance, and the dearth of skilled cyber professionals working in government is accentuated, the government is turning more and more to the private sector to provide cybersecurity solutions. BAE Systems North America is working to position itself as a leader in the cybersecurity market. BAE has opened a cyber center within 30 miles of Washington, DC. The center tracks attempted intrusions of BAE networks, stops threats and attempts to anticipate future threats.The company is hoping that the increased investments in cybersecurity capabilities will pay dividends later, resulting in cyber contracts with the federal government.
