The GAO has released a 63 page report claiming the “virtual fence” along the border with Mexico is way over budget. Homeland Security officials have said that in order to complete the project they relied heavily on Boeing, the prime contractor, who provided "incomplete and anomalous" cost information. According to the report, the information provided by Boeing made the situation seem better than it really was.
