On Wednesday, government auditors said that in the Nation’s transition from paper to digital, reams of information have been left without proper safeguards. The GAO also found that 4 out of 5 government agencies are at risk of publicly destroying records. "Collectively, these weaknesses could place sensitive information . . . at increased and unnecessary risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or loss," the auditors wrote.
