New FDA regulations to speed the release of generic drugs were announced by President Bush. The regulations are intended to prevent drug "innovators" from delaying the release of generic drugs. The White House claims the measure will save $3.5 billion per year. PhRMA states that the new rules are "lengthy and complex." The new regulations demonstrate that pharmaceutical pricing is and will remain an important regulatory battleground.

It sure does. Pharmacies are under government constant stress since that day. President Bush is still WH leader, but his only interest is his pocketbook. I have heard from an important generic drugs (http://www.pharmacy-online.ca/) company that behind this it is a greater plot that keeps the entire US health system under a dictatorship. Do you wonder why pills are cheaper in Cuba and Canada, than US?
