The National Park service is calling for comments on the nomination of properties for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Under the National Historic Preservation Act, the Secretary of the Interior must establish criteria and guidelines for inclusion the National Register. The documentation is used to assist in preserving and protecting the properties and for heritage education and interpretation.
