A member of Congress is going to invoke the Congressional Review Act to stop the implementation of the FCC's media ownership rule. The Congressional Review Act, which is seldom used, allows the Congress to overturn an agency rule.
Invoking the Act has the advantage of bypassing lengthy litigation: however the President must concur.
Such an effort is laudable but far from certain. It should be supplemented by also invoking the Data Quality Act as described in another article in this forum.
