The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has issued a request for a new ICR regarding a National Animal Health Monitoring System titled Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) 2005 Study to collect baseline data on the country’s cervid population. The study will collect information from 5,600 cervid producers while monitoring cervid herds for CWD. CWD is a fatal, neurological disease that occurs in deer and elk populations.
