The National Association of Realtors is mounting a challenge to the telemarketing rules which stop unsolicited phone calls. The NAR states they are different:
"Many states had do-not-call legislation in place which specifically excluded Realtors from the classes of those who must comply," explains Judith Lindenau, executive vice president of the Traverse Area Association of Realtors. "In Michigan, this was the result of long, hard effort on the part of our excellent state association."
The realtors will have a challenge because of the immense popularity of the program; they will have to have a clear statement of why they are different.
