In a loopsided vote, 400-21, the House voted to overturn portions of the FCC rule on media ownership. The magnitude of the vote shows that the rule is in trouble.
OMB states that they will recommend veto of the bill. However that is a recommendation of OMB not an act of the President.
Legg Mason states:
"We believe it is questionable whether the president and other Republican leaders will go to the mat in order to preserve a 45 percent cap that is unpopular with a significant number of Republicans and would give Democrats a campaign issue," said Legg Mason in an analyst report."
We agree with Legg Mason.
