Canada is irked at what they consider to be unfair treatment with respect to the export of their beef products. A number of countries have banned the import of their products. The Canadians state not only is this unfair treatment but is also is not in the public interest.
"Goodale's letter went on to say: "The OIE (the international agency for animal health issues) should be very worried that the maltreatment of a conscientious country like Canada ... will encourage every other country to adopt the 'Triple-S' approach to avoid animal health issues: Shoot. Shovel. And shut up!''
