08/06/03 #2 Federal Agency Gives Wi-Fi Access To Visitors
The FCC is one of the first agencies to give Wi-Fi when they visit their facility.
"When you come to the FCC, leave the cords at home," FCC Chairman Michael K. Powell said in a release. "We're embracing the power of Wi-Fi and the freedom and convenience of wireless Internet access it gives to consumers. "
The FCC is to be applauded for their efforts; however they have a long way to go in making comments sent to the agency on its rulemaking available to the general public via the net, i.e., e-docket access.
