The highly contested issue of placing a wind farm in Cape Cod is one more step closer to resolution. A Federal judge gave it another favorable ruling not withstanding the opposition of Senator Kennedy and Walter Cronkite.
"Federal District Court Judge Joseph Tauro issued the second ruling in four weeks affirming Cape Wind's permit for a scientific monitoring station on Horseshoe Shoal in Nantucket Sound.
"In his ruling, the Judge agreed with the United States Army Corps of Engineers and Cape Wind that the Corps has the authority to issue permits for such structures on the Outer Continental Shelf and that the Corps complied with the terms of the National Environmental Policy Act in granting the permit, said Cape Wind. "
