OMB's Task Force Selects 22 E-Projects
From over 260 ideas, the E-Government Task force of the Office of Management and Budget has selected 22 projects intended to increase government efficiency and further extend online services to citizens and businesses.
The costs of the 22 selected projects will be paid for from a $100 million interagency e-government fund proposed in the President’s budget. In their respective versions of the Treasury-Postal spending bill, the House and the Senate both provided $5 million in funding for the project in the next fiscal year.
These proposed projects will join an existing slate of E-Government services created during the Clinton administration including: Sales and Auctions, Certified E-mail, Online Change of Address, Air Pollution Reports, Airport Delays and more.
