Boehner, OMB in Conflict Over Regulation
The White House and Congressional Republicans are in spat over bad job market. On Monday, John Boehner sent President Barack Obama a letter requesting a list of expensive new federal regulations that fellow House Republican Reps. Geoff Davis of Kentucky and Trent Franks of Arizona failed to obtain in time for a July hearing. Acting Budget Director Jeffrey Zients replied to Boehner. The Obama administration, he wrote, scaled back the pace of expensive regulation compared to the final year under President George W. Bush.
