OMB: VanRoekel to Continue White House's IT Agenda
When the White House tapped former Microsoft executive Steven VanRoekel to serve as the next federal chief information officer, officials say they weren't looking for someone to set plans for transforming federal information technology. "This is not a situation where we're asking someone to come in and make radical changes to priorities or to the strategic agenda," federal Chief Performance Officer Jeffrey Zients, told reporters Thursday. "It's continued execution in getting proven results."
