OMB Instructs All Agencies to Post Data Quality Petitions
In an August 30, 2004 memorandum to the President's Management Council, OMB's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs instructed all agencies which had not already done so to install a website for posting all Data Quality petitions submitted to them, including appeals and responses. The websites are to include initially petitions submitted in FY 2004, and eventually also ones submitted in FY 2003. OMB expects the agencies to have their sites operating by December 1, 2004, and to put in place a system for updating on a regular basis. CRE will add links to the new agency petition web pages to its petitions web page on this website when they are activated.
