CRE Advises IWC of US Information Quality Standards
The Center for Regulatory Effectiveness sent the International Whaling Commission a letter advising the IWC of the new information quality standards that most US federal agencies must meet. These standards also apply to any IWC Scientific Committee reports that US federal agencies consider using.
Attached to the CRE letter is correspondence between the US Department of Health and Human Services and the World Health Organization. The HHS letter to WHO explains that HHS cannot use WHO reports on dietary requirements because they do not meet the new US information quality standards.
