BOEMRE Cancels Cook Inlet Lease Sale 219
The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement has decided to cancel Cook Inlet Sale 219 for the 2007-2012 oil and gas leasing in the Outer Continental Shelf. BOEMRE's Federal Register explains that cancellation is
"necessary to allow sufficient time to gather new baseline data for
environmental review, analysis, and identification of mitigating
