I.1 Statutory and OMB Framework

Congress has placed upon OMB the responsibility and authority for overseeing many aspects of data access. The revised federal policy on public access to federally funded research data is expressed in a number of separate statutes, as well as guidance documents from OMB. We will examine these in turn.
