Justice, Treasury, and OMB Extend Deadline for Public Comment Regarding Proposed Financial Privacy and Bankruptcy Study

The proposed study which the three agencies are seeking comment on concerns how the filing of bankruptcy affects the privacy of individual consumer information that becomes part of a bankruptcy case.

In response to requests for additional time for the submission of public views concerning this proposed study, the comment deadline period has been extended.
