FDA Releases Draft Guidance on Mammography Quality Standards Act The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the availability of the draft guidance entitled "Compliance Guidance: The Mammography Quality Standards Act Final Regulations Document #4." According to the FDA this document is intended to help facilities meet the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992's final regulations, which became effective April 28, 1999. The FDA also states that this draft guidance is neither final nor in effect at this time. Written comments concerning this draft guidance must be received by December 12, 2000.
