PETALING JAYA: The National Council of Women’s Organisations (NCWO) has urged the Government to formulate strategies to combat the sale of illegal cigarettes, rather than reintroduce mini-packs.
NCWO president Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin said it was regretful that there was pressure on the Government to bring back the sale of mini-packs or so-called “kiddie packs” to combat the increasing trade in illicit cigarettes.
