Test purchases of illicit cigarettes and tobacco have revealed the shocking availability of the smuggled and often counterfeit criminal goods across Merseyside.
Undercover investigators were sold dodgy products in pubs, shops and even a restaurant during a three day probe in November, highlighting the extent of the black market trade targeting smokers across the region.
