The four legged stars of Revenue sniffed out more than €20 million of drugs and illegal cigarettes last year, it has been revealed.

The 17-pooch team detected drugs with a street value of €4,201,506 and €19,159,221 worth of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco, the Irish Daily Star reports.

Police Special Task Force Headquarters Raiding Unit busted a drug den in Periyamulla, Negombo and nabbed a boutique owner with heroin and illicit cigarettes.
The STF sleuths on a tip off on April 01, used a decoy to buy cigarettes from a grocery shop on St. John’s Street in Periyamulla learning the shop owner was selling counterfeit cigarettes.
