Designation of Critical Habitat for the Topeka Shiner
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is seeking comments on a proposed rule under the Endangered Species Act which would set aside approximately 2,340 miles of streams in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota as critical habitat for the Topeka shiner (an endangered minnow). The deadline for submitting comments is April 16, 2004.
