MMPA Advisory Committee Meeting
The Marine Protected Areas Federal Advisory Committee will meet in Silver Spring, Maryland, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; on Wednesday, June 13; from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Thursday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 8777 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. This Committee, composed of external, knowledgeable representatives of stakeholder groups, was established by the Department of Commerce to provide advice to the Secretaries of Commerce and the Interior on implementation of Section 4 of Executive Order 13158, which calls for the development of a National System of MPAs.
