This document contains the Goods and Services Classification Index, also known as the Trademark Acceptable Identification of Goods and Services Manual. This document is taken from the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (Second Edition, May 1993). The T.M.E.P. is published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to provide trademark examining attorneys in the P.T.O., trademark applicants, and trademark attorneys with a reference work on the practices and procedures relative to applications to register marks with the Patent and Trademark Office. The BitLaw version of the Goods and Classification Index is taken directly from the materials provided at the U.S.P.T.O. ftp site. The hypertext links have been added as a feature of the BitLaw web site.
In the attached listings of goods and services, the international classification immediately follows the goods or services listing. The old U.S. classification(s) for the goods or services follows the international classification and is enclosed in parentheses.
