Tule Elk Preservation Act
Tule Elk Preservation Act (16 USC 673d) -- P.L. 94-389, approved August 14, 1976,
(90 Stat. 1189) directs a Federal/State cooperative program for preservation and enhancement of
Tule elk in California. The Secretary of the Interior is directed to make an annual report to
Congress in March of each year on activities carried out under the Act. The requirement for the
report was deleted by P.L. 105-362 (112 Stat. 3289), adopted November 10, 1998.
