Minerals Management Service: Department of the Interior
The Minerals Management Service(MMS) includes two major programs, Offshore Minerals Management and Minerals Revenue Management. The Offshore program, which manages the mineral resources on the OCS, comprises three regions: Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, and the Pacific.

MMS places considerable emphasis on the Data Quality Act(Information Quality Act). In fact its home page has link that directs stakeholders to the information they need to seek a correction in data disseminated by the agency.
