Internet Body Criticized For Continued U.S. Ties, Legal Fees
...the community of ICANN observers is buzzing about a report on the body's legal fees. According to ICANN Focus, a Washington-based regulatory watchdog, ICANN's tax filings for the year that ended June 30, 2002, show that the group spent more than $1.1 million on the law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis and Pogue.

Those fees amounted to nearly 20 percent of ICANN's total revenues for the year and are in addition to ICANN's internal legal fees, said Bruce Levinson of ICANN Focus.
