The CRE Puts The Hammer Down
This law has been a joke ever since it was first piggybacked on a bill and tricked to get passed. The Center for Regulatory Effectiveness (CRE) provides the government with tips on what works and what doesn’t.
And lately the CRE came out with a report that basically says “This is very unlikely to be successful”. A few points from the article:
- The rules are very hazy and unclear
- Would take too much manpower to put into place and enforce
- There are few loopholes for merchants (gambling businesses)
