NCI Report Supports the
Data Quality Petition Filed By the Center for Regulatory Effectiveness on
Menthol Cigarettes
WASHINGTON, March 24,
2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Med Page Today reports that: "Menthol cigarettes are no harder to
quit than nonmenthol cigarettes...The findings stand in sharp contrast to
the FDA advisory committee report released last week that called menthol
cigarettes a public health threat......The study, published Wednesday in
the Journal of the National Cancer
Institute....."
The NCI study provides additional evidence
which compels the FDA to react favorably to
the CRE Data Quality Petition on
menthol cigarettes. See https://www.thecre.com/tpsac/?p=1305
