NTP Holds Public Meeting On Cancer Listing Process
The National Toxicology Program is holding a public meeting on January 27-28, 2004, on NTP's process for listing and delisting substances in its Report on Carcinogens. The RoC is a public information document that identifies substances that are either "known" or "reasonably anticipated" to cause cancer in humans. NTP states that the purpose of this meeting "is to obtain input and provide all interested parties an opportunity to express their views about the review process for nominations to the RoC and/or the evaluation criteria and to comment on the views expressed by others." NTP's Federal Register notice of the public meeting contains a summary of the RoC listing and delisting process.
