Congress Concerned About Agencies' Compliance With Data Quality Act
The Conference Committee Report for the Federal Government's 2004 Appropriations Act states concern "that agencies are not complying fully with the requirements of the Federal Data Quality Act...." The Act directs OMB's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs "to submit a report to the House and Senate Committees on appropriations by June 1, 2004 on whether agencies have been properly responsive to public requests for correction of information pursuant to the FDQA, and suggest changes that should be made to the FDQA or OMB guidelines to improve the accuracy and transparency of agency science."
