FCC Receives Data Quality Petition
The FCC received a petition under the Data Quality Act charging that the data behind its rule to increase the fixed charges paid by consumers and small and large businesses fail to meet the requirements of the Act. The petition is important for several reasons:

1. It is the first significant petition filed at an independent agency



2. It is very pro-consumer, not an environmental issue



3. If granted it would be a benefit to both large and small businesses, because it would reduce their phone costs.
