Other Agencies Should Follow EPA Lead In IQA Training
The Environmental Protection Agency may have set the standard for training its staff in the Information Quality Act. During the EPA Environmental Information Symposium 2005, the Agency's Office of Environmental Information presented a power point discussion, and conducted a question and answer session, on the IQA, EPA's IQA Guidelines, and implementation of the Guidelines. The presentation was attended by managers and staff from virtually all EPA programs. Without taking any position on the substance of EPA's presentation, the CRE commends EPA on its efforts to train Agency personnel in the IQA. We recommend that all agencies provide similar training sessions
