OMB Seeks Comment on Implementation of Title V of E-Government Act
The Office of Management and Budget has requested public comment on OMB’s proposed implementation guidance for Title V of the E-Government Act, the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act of 2002. This Act seeks to establish a uniform federal government policy on treatment of confidential statistical information, including confidentiality pledges and confidentiality claims. Comments on OMB’s proposed guidance implementing the Act are due by December 15, 2006.
