Public Meeting on HPV2
On March 16, 2009, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that it was holding a meeting to give members of the public a chance to comment on the Agency's proposed rule requiring screening level testing for a second group of High Production Volume Chemicals. This meeting will be held March 31, 2009, from 8 a.m. to noon, at EPA, 1201 Constitution Ave., NW., Rm. 1153, Washington, D.C.

EPA is holding this public comment meeting because written comments on the proposed rule requested a public meeting. These requests came from Chlorinated Paraffins Industry Association, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, the Alternatives Research Development Foundation, and the American Anti-Vivisection Society.
