EPA Seeks Public Comment on Climate Change Document in order to Comply with IQA Guideline's Pre-dissemination Review Requirements
On December 31, 2009, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced a 30-day public comment period for the draft document titled, ``An Assessment of Decision-Making Processes: The Feasibility of Incorporating Climate Change Information into Land Protection Planning'' EPA's Federal Register notice for this comment period explains:
" EPA is releasing this draft document solely for the purpose of pre-
dissemination peer review under applicable information quality
guidelines."
This draft document was prepared by the National Center for Environmental Assessment within EPA's Office of Research and Development. It is a review of decision-making processes of selected land protection programs. Its goal is to assess the feasibility of incorporating climate change impacts information into the evaluation of these programs.
This draft document will be externally peer-reviewed after the close of the public comment period. EPA will forward public comments on the draft document to the external peer reviewer panel for their consideration.
Comments on the draft document must be received by EPA no later than February 1, 2010.
