EPA Denies NRDC's Petition to Ban 2,4-D
On April 18, 2012, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published Federal Register notice of its Order denying a petition requesting that EPA revoke all pesticide tolerances for 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. This petition was filed on November 6, 2008, by the Natural Resources Defense Council. Objections to and requests for hearings on this Order must be received by EPA on or before June 18, 2012, and must be filed in accordance with the instructions provided in 40 CFR part 178.
