EPA Seeks Comment on Proposed Settlement of RICE Air Rule Litigation
On June 21, 2012, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published Federal Register notice of a proposed settlement agreement addressing consolidated petitions for review filed by several parties in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. These petitions challenge an EPA rule which revised the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines. EPA’s Federal Register notice describes the terms of the proposed settlement and seeks public comment on the proposed settlement. Written comments on the proposed settlement must be received by EPA by July 23, 2012.
