BOEM Seeks Comment on Offshore Air Rules
The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management seeks public comment on proposed rules that would amend existing BOEM regulations related to air quality measurement, evaluation, and control with respect to oil, gas, and sulphur operations on the Outer Continental Shelf of the United States, in the Central and
Western Gulf of Mexico, and in the area offshore the North Slope Borough of the State of Alaska. These proposed rules would be part of the BOEM approval process for offshore oil and gas exploration and development plans, right-of-use and easement, pipeline rights-of-way, and lease term pipeline applications. Comments on these proposed rules must be submitted to BOEM by June 6, 2016.
