CMS Seeks Comment on Proposed Obama Care Rules
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services has published a proposed rule setting forth payment parameters and provisions related to the risk adjustment program; cost-sharing parameters and costsharing reductions; and user fees for Federally-facilitated Exchanges and State-based Exchanges on the Federal platform. This proposed rule also provides additional guidance relating to standardized options; qualified health plans; consumer assistance tools; network adequacy; the Small Business Health Options Program; stand-alone dental plans; fair health insurance premiums; guaranteed renewability; the medical loss ratio program; eligibility and enrollment; appeals; and other related topics.

CMS must receive any comments on this proposed rule no later than 5 p.m. on October 6, 2016.
