Comment on Proposed Comptroller Fiduciary and Non-Fiduciary Custody Activity Rules
The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is invitingcomment on an advance notice of proposed rulemaking regardingits fiduciary activities rules and apotential rule for non-fiduciary custodyactivities of national banks, Federalsavings associations, and Federalbranches of foreign banks. Specifically,the OCC is considering an amendmentto its fiduciary rule to update thedefinition of fiduciary capacity toinclude certain State recognized trust-related activities. The OCC also is considering issuing a regulation thatwould establish certain basicrequirements for non-fiduciary custodyactivities of national banks and Federalsavings associations. The Comptroller must be received any comments by June 28, 2019.
