OSTP Seeks Comment on U.S. Bio-economy
On September 10, 2019, the U.S. Office of Science Technology and Policy published a Federal Register notice requesting “input from all interested parties on the U.S. Bio-economy.” According to this notice, “The Bio-economy represents the infrastructure, innovation, products, technology, and data derived from biologically-related processes and science that drive economic growth, promote health, and increase public benefit.” OSTP intends its Request for Information to “inform notable gaps, vulnerabilities, and areas to promote and protect in the U.S. Bio-economy that may benefit from Federal government attention. “ Submit comments on or before October 22, 2019.
