MMS Seeks Comment on EA for GOM Lease Sale 207
The U.S. Minerals Management Service seeks public comment on an Environmental Assessment under NEPA that MMS intends to prepare for Oil and Gas Lease Sale 207 in the western Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf Planning Area. This Lease Sale is scheduled for August 2008.

In April 2007, MMS published a Multisale Environmental Impact Statement for GOM oil and gas Lease Sales. The 207 EA that MMS is now preparing is intended to address any new information that was not addressed in the Multisale EIS.

Comments on the 207 EA are due to EPA by January 2, 2008.
