GlaxoSmithKline Urges FDA to Withdraw Dissolvable Tobacco

 

 GlaxoSmithKline said Monday that it urged the Food and Drug Administration to take oral dissolvable tobacco products off the market “until their sponsors can demonstrate to FDA that their marketing is appropriate for the protection of public health.” The move shows how battle lines are emerging between pharmaceutical companies and tobacco companies in the bid to attract sales from cigarette smokers who are considering alternatives to their daily habit.  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703694204575518294130892622.html
